What is your jewellery made of?
Our jewellery is made using recycled Canadian solid gold & 925 sterling silver. For solid gold we offer 10, 14, 18 and 20 carat in yellow, white & rose gold.
Where is your jewellery made?
Every piece is slowly handcrafted on Vancouver Island, Canada's West Coast by our founder & designer Raissa.
Can I swim and shower in my jewellery?
Our pieces are crafted from solid precious metals, designed to last a lifetime when properly cared for.
You can safely wear your jewellery in the shower or ocean, provided you rinse each piece with warm water and gently dry it with a soft cloth afterward to remove any soap or salt buildup. Remove your jewellery before entering swimming pools, hot tubs, or mineral springs. Exposure to harsh chemicals can discolour metals and damage fine finishes.

What stones do you use?
At Solder & Salt, we work with both lab grown and natural gemstones. If you have a preference, let us know. We’re happy to use lab-created stones or help you source a unique natural gemstone. Each product will state the gemstone in the description.
Lab stones are gemstones created or grown in a laboratory, instead of natural gemstones which are found and mined from the earth. We adore and love working with sapphires, tourmalines, emeralds, and diamonds of lab and mined stones.
Moissanite, Lab or Mined Diamond?
Moissanite
A remarkable lab-grown gemstone that stands as its own unique entity. Ranking at 9.5 on the Mohs scale, it is second only to diamond in hardness, making it incredibly durable for a lifetime of daily wear. Moissanite is a thoughtful alternative for those seeking extraordinary fire and brilliance at a more approachable price point.
Lab-Grown Diamonds
Chemically, physically, and optically identical to their mined counterparts, lab diamonds offer the same timeless strength without the geological extraction. Authentic diamonds created through advanced technology rather than tectonic pressure. They possess the exact same properties as mined stones. This makes them a premium, choice for modern fine jewellery.
Natural Diamonds
Forged over billions of years deep within the earth's crust, natural diamonds are rare fragments of history. Their value lies in their ancient origin and the unique story told by each stone. Choosing a natural diamond is an investment in something truly finite, a one-of-a-kind treasure that has endured the ages.
Where are you gemstones from?
All our gems are ethically sourced from all over the world. We place an immense amount of time and effort into finding the highest quality stones. We try to use Canadian gemstones whenever possible.

Yes, all Solder & Salt Jewellery pieces are covered by a 12-month manufacturing warranty. This includes craftsmanship or material defects- not accidental damage or general wear and tear. Read our full warranty guarantee here.
How long does it take for my order to be sent?
Ready-to-ship pieces dispatch within 2 business days. Made-to-order and bespoke designs take 4–10 weeks depending on complexity. You’ll receive updates throughout. 'One of a kind' collections are shipped out the next business day. We ship from Canada internationally via DHL express, within Canada UPS or Canada Post express. If you need an update on an order, feel free to email us solderandsalt@gmail.com.

Do you offer returns?
Yes we do. For all ready to ship rings, necklaces and earrings we offer a 7 day return.

Ring Sizing
How do I know my ring size?
To find your ring size, use our Ring Size Guide or order one of our reusable ring sizers to measure comfortably at home. Prefer an in-person measurement? You can also visit us to have your finger sized professionally.
Alternatively, you can visit your local jeweller to size your hand.
I ordered the wrong ring size, do you offer resizing?
To find your fit before placing an order, use our downloadable Ring Size Guide.
Please note that we are currently unable to offer ring resizing through the studio.
If you have ordered a ready-to-ship piece that does not fit, you are welcome to submit a return. Made-to-order, one-of-a-kind, and bespoke pieces are final sale and cannot be resized in-house, but if you happen to order the wrong size, please reach out. I will happily guide you in the right direction to help you sort out a resize.
Bespoke Jewellery
Do you offer bespoke engagement and weddings bands?
Yes I do! I love to help bring your vision to life and craft the forever ring of your dreams.
How does bespoke work?
You’ll work directly with Raissa, jeweller at Solder & Salt. The process is collaborative, you design the piece together. We’ll sketch, source, and refine until it’s perfect and in line with your vision.
