Discover function, form, and feeling as you sculpt wax into a one of a kind piece. Design the ring you have always imagined. Learn the ancient art of wax carving, and the process behind lost metal casting, understanding how your wax model will ultimately be transformed into solid silver.
Over 5 hours, you’ll experiment with hard and soft wax, starting with a guided design exercise before refining your piece through one on one support from Raissa. Utilize precision tools for shaping, carving, filing, texturing and sanding. Whether you are drawn to organic forms and refined, bold architectural edges, this workshop offers the space to explore and create.
Each participant receives 10 grams of silver. Solid gold available for an upgrade.
Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, whether you're learning a new skill, considering further study, or marking a special occasion. Rings will be professionally cast and polished by Raissa and ready for pick up in 4-5 weeks.

Materials
Every current Solder and Salt piece is handcrafted in solid metal. Choose 925 sterling silver, or recycled Canadian solid gold in 10, 14, 18 or 20 karat, in yellow, white or rose gold, depending on the options shown for that piece. The metal for your piece is shown in the options above. Stones and other details are listed in the description for that piece.

Shipping: Ready to ship pieces dispatch within 2 business days. Made to order pieces take 4 to 6 weeks to handcraft. Bespoke pieces take 6 to 8 weeks after your final design is approved. One of a kind pieces ship the next business day. Orders ship from Canada, tracked and insured. Free shipping on orders over $500.
Returns: Ready to ship rings and necklaces can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in original condition. Contact us within that window and we will help with an exchange for a different size if available.
Sizing for customs and made to order: Please confirm your size before approval. Customs and made to order pieces do not offer resizing or exchanges, and are final sale.
12 Month Warranty
12 Month Warranty
Every piece is covered by a 12 month manufacturing warranty from purchase. This covers craftsmanship and material defects, and includes one complimentary polish within the first year. It does not cover accidental damage, general wear and tear, theft or loss. If you think a defect has appeared, email solderandsalt@gmail.com with your order number and photos, and we will guide you through the next step.
